The Revic Ops App offers a free Ballistics Calculator designed for Long Range applications by Gunwerks.
The latest Revic Optics Ballistics Engine showcases a Ballistic Solver utilizing a Modified Point Mass Solution (4 Degrees of Freedom, or 4 DOF), supported by doppler-verified ammunition ballistics. This state-of-the-art ballistic calculator delivers precise shooting solutions based on ballistic coefficient (G1, G7) or drag coefficient obtained from doppler radar analysis of specific bullets. The app encompasses a library of common high-performance bullets and automatically updates with new projectiles.
Functioning as a robust stand-alone ballistic calculator, the Revic Ops App also serves as a tool for managing Revic devices, such as rangefinders and smart rifle scopes. Through Bluetooth connectivity, users can create, store, and load profiles directly from the app, including details like caliber, barrel twist, sight height, and muzzle velocity. Two-way Bluetooth communication enables Revic devices to relay real-time data like station pressure and temperature back to the app's ballistic calculator.
The app's Module-Based Features include:
- Profile Management:
- Create and store unique rifle and ammunition profiles, shareable via QR Codes.
- Access bullet profiles from over 950 datasets.
- Ballistic Calculator:
- Real-time calculations factor in environmental conditions, target azimuth and angle, wind speed and direction, Eotvos, Corriolis, Spin Drift, Aero Jump, among others.
- Weather Station:
- Retrieve National Weather Service Data based on GPS coordinates.
- Sync or manually input weather data into the Ballistic Calculator.
- Truing Profiles:
- Calculate Muzzle Velocity and Ballistic Coefficients using truing data from two known distances.
- Update Ballistic Profiles with the derived Truing Data.
- Sync Device:
- Establish connections with Revic Optics smart devices to upload Ballistic Profiles.
- Sync data seamlessly across devices within shooting/hunting teams.
- Live View of PMR HUD:
- Receive real-time updates from the PMR Smart Scope Heads-Up Display (HUD).
- Observe live ballistic calculation updates for Elevation and Windage based on Azimuth, Wind Speed, Distance, and turret positions.
